Special thanks as always to the Roadster Factory for all their support to TRA and also for sharing the TRS car with us.

We also say goodbye and thanks to our friends from the UK, John and David. We truly enjoyed their visit which was filled with entertaining stories, TR conversations, and great memorabilia.

John Saunders

John bought his first TR2 in 1971, the same year he became engaged to his wife.  After 31 years, he still has both of these loves of his life!  John has served on several TR committees and groups over the years, and has written TR articles for various publications.  In 1998, he was asked to serve on the UK TR Register Committee as overseer of the restoration of TS2 and helped to research and track down numerous parts.  The restoration was completed in 2001, and he drove the car to its first TR International event last July.  Over the years, John has amassed a wealth of data and references on TR2's, TR3's, and TR3A's.

David Somerville

David has been part of the TR Register for over ten years.  He has a TR2 (circa TS1100) as well as a TR4, both of which he imported from the US and rebuilt.  His black TR2 was recently a feature car in Classic & Sports Car magazine in the UK.  David is well known for his monumental collection of early TR memorabilia, and he is constantly on the lookout for more interesting items.  If you've ever lost an auction on e-Bay for a piece of TR history, now you know who outbid you!

We have all met some lifelong friends in John and David!

Hope to see all of you at TRA 2003!!
