Drive Your Triumph Day 2024

February 10th, 2024

A message from Rye Livingston, the creator of this event:

“Drive Your Triumph Day has gained momentum every year, and last year I received over 600 photos from all over the world: Scotland, Ireland, the UK, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Uruguay, Netherlands, Switzerland, Finland, Canada, Holland, Czech Republic, and of course all over the USA.  I’m hoping we can increase that number again this year!

The concept is straightforward. On February 10th, go for a drive in your Triumph.  Take a scenic drive on a country road or out to lunch, to the market, to work, wherever. Go for a drive alone or in a big group with your local Triumph Club. Take your spouse, buddy, child, grandchild or your dog; then take a photo. The photo is mainly of the car, and the owner or passenger if possible, ideally in front of a cool spot, landmark, scenic view or in your driveway. If it’s the middle of the winter where you live and your car is in hibernation, or in the middle of a restoration, take a photo of it in the garage.  Have fun with it. ”

The next step is to email a high-resolution photo to driveyourtriumphday@gmail.com, along with some basic information: owner’s name, year and model of car, and place photo was taken (city, state, country). The photos will then be published not only in our club newsletter, but also in USA’s national magazine: Vintage Triumph Registry, and on the Drive Your Triumph Day website: https://driveyourtriumphday.shutterfly.com

(TRA Members can also email Bradley Howes at doctorhowes@gmail.com, he will upload these images to the site as he receives them)

The Roadster Factory GoFundMe Campaign

One of the best Triumph reproduction part companies (The Roadster Factory Inc) suffered a terrible tragedy on Christmas Eve with a fire that destroyed most of the building. Triumph Register Of America has agreed to sponsor a GoFundMe to support TRF and the employees during this troubling time. Please consider donating as every bit helps!

TRA Gives a Triumphant Welcome to the Tennessee Triumph Register Chapter!

Steve Seward of Knoxville, Tennessee, is leading the effort.
A group of enthusiasts began reaching out this past summer to investigate the
requirements for chapter status and then set a goal to garner enough interest to
become a TRA chapter.

We accomplished the goal and have 36 members. The
group will be electing officers soon and writing the bylaws.

Visit our Facebook page: Tennessee Triumph Register
Visit our website: www.tennesseetriumph.org

Congratulations! TRA will prove to be a valuable asset to your members.

in this club from the day he conceived it until the day he passed away. We will
miss him greatly.

TRA Logo Vector Art
For Trailers is Here!

Finally it is here! TRA Logo vector art. Perfect for using for trailers or any application you may need a TRA logo for. If you tell your sign shop you have a Adobe Illustrator file with vector artwork. they will probably hug you. I would recommend printing this logo on white vinyl using waterproof, UV resistant, inks and then applied to trailer, Second acceptible option would be cut black and red vinyl on white vinyl (no print / ink on this option)

I know some of you never heard of vector art, it is kinda hard to understand…but I found this…

Raster art vs. Vector art.

Raster artwork (most website images) are any digital art composed of horizontal and vertical rows of pixels. As a result, when raster images are enlarged, the image quality diminishes significantly.

Vector images can be reduced or enlarged in any size indefinitely, without any loss in image quality.

There are two logo options as shown above.

Click here to download a PDF of the above artwork. (NOT FOR SIGN COMPANY –  FOR REFERENCE ONLY)

Click here to download a Zipped File of the Adobe Illustrator File (TAKE THIS FILE TO YOUR SIGN COMPANY) Do NOT attempt to unzip – if you do not have Adobe Illustrator, you could corrupt the file.

TRA Triumph Vehicle Registry Update From

We have recently undertaken the ambitious task of rebuilding our TRA Vehicle Registry. We hope to expand the information we collect on the Triumphs owned by our members and make it available online to all members. We will need the cooperation of all members to initially collect the information, then keep it current by:
•     Reminding each member, upon their renewal, to update the vehicle registry by including with their renewal, a Vehicle Registry Update Form to update their vehicle registry listing if any changes have occurred
•     Putting an editable PDF file of the Vehicle Registry Update Form on our TRA website so that changes can be reported by members when they purchase or sell their Triumphs

Below is a copy of the Vehicle Registry Update Form (VRUF). We ask all TRA members to complete and return the form, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, even if you have provided some of this information
in the past. Further announcements will be made once the initial information has been entered into a database and we will provide you with specifics on how you, as a member, can access the TRA Vehicle Registry information.

Thank you for completing and returning the TRA Vehicle Registry Update Form! Click on image below to download.

Fill out the PDF and Save file as “VRUF_YourName”, and email your PDF file to Bill Lynn at address on form.

Thank you for your help!

Jerry’s favorite was his restored red 1956 TR3. A daredevil in his younger years, Jerry enjoyed everything from roller skating to car racing.

Dec/Jan 2015, Issue#128

Bob Johns was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, and began working in his father’s auto repair shop at the age of twelve, which fueled his interest in racing. By age nineteen, he was full-fledged, fast-car crazy. In fact, he attended the last two original-course races at Watkins Glen in 1951 and 1952. These races instilled in him the auto racing fever, which had to be satiated. “Watkins Glen, aka ‘The Glen’ is located near the town of Watkins Glen, New York, on the southern tip of Seneca Lake. Initially, the 6.6-mile course used public roads driving through the heart of the village with spectators lining the sidewalks. After a car left the road in the 1952 race killing one spectator and injuring several others, the race was relocated to a hilltop southwest of town. In 1956 a permanent circuit for the race was built. The track has been home to road racing of nearly every class, including Formula 1, The World Sportscar Championship, Trans-Am, Can-Am, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the IndyCar Series.
